PIEAS offers diverse need and merit-based scholarship opportunities to the students. These scholarships provide an excellent opportunity for students to continue their education at PIEAS and further their career development. This includes scholarships, bursaries, fellowships, financial awards and loans(qarz-e-hasna). The terms and conditions of all these scholarships are different and subject to change without any prior notice.
PIEAS Need Based Scholarships/Qarz-e-Hasna Program (BS & MS programs)
PIEAS need-based scholarship program/ Qarz-e-Hasna program aims to assist the students from under-privileged or weak financial background in continuing and completing their studies at PIEAS. A 25% amount of fee collected from the students are reserved for this purpose. This program includes a financial support in the form of tuition fee only. The amount of tuition waiver ranges from 25% to 100% based on the criterion developed by the scrutiny committee.
How to Apply: The program is advertised each year within PIEAS and the tentative schedule is given below. The students can apply along with supporting documents. The application form can be obtained from financial aid office of PIEAS.

PIEAS Education Support fund (BS & MS programs)
Educational Support Fund (ESF) was established in 2018 to compliment PIEAS need based scholarship program, and extend the sphere of financial assistance to include waivers such as hostel fee/monthly living expenditure support/qarz-e-hasna etc. At present an amount received for ESF comes from voluntary donation from faculty, staff and a small portion of student community. A total of Rs 1.4 Million Rs were distributed from ESF fund to the needy students.
How to Apply: The application for PIEAS need based scholarship and ESF are processed simultaneously and follows the same schedule. The students can apply for both PIEAS need based scholarship and ESF, however, the executive committee will decide if the student is eligible for both or one of them.
Ehsaas / Benazir Undergraduate scholarship program (BS programs)
Every year students from low-income families are awarded scholarships for 4 to 5-year undergraduate degree programs by Government of Pakistan. PIEAS falls under the list of universities in which students can avail Ehsaas / Benazir Undergraduate scholarship. The scholarship can cover up to 100% of the tuition fee and a living stipend of 4,000 per month. The geographical spread of the program covers all four provinces, AJK and GB.
How to Apply: The scholarships program is advertised each year in national newspaper and HEC website. All students are required to apply through the HEC Online application system: http://ehsaas.hec.gov.pk . Applicants are required to submit hard copies of the application form along with the supporting documents to the financial aid office of PIEAS by the given deadline along with the list of supporting documents as specified on the application website. Candidates are advised to carefully read the process and details of the program.
Processing of Applications: The scrutiny Committee of the university short lists all candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria, based on the information provided in their applications and falls under the conditions provided by Ehsaas program, such as family income, assets, past academic record, age (where appropriate) etc. An Institutional Scholarship Award Committee of the universities will interview/ recommend potential applicants for the award of scholarship.
PEEF - Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (BS & MS programs)
PEEF scholarship program is an initiative of Government of Punjab, which provides scholarships to the talented students of Punjab and other provinces AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, FATA and ICT. PEEF scholarships are awarded till the completion of the degree course the student is enrolled in. However, if the student fails to maintain the required / satisfactory academic performance level, or is involved in any disciplinary act; the University/ or the PEEF, reserve the right to cancel the scholarship. PEEF has also allocated 20% of its annual scholarship quota for Master's Level Education.
How to Apply: Interested candidates are advised download the scholarship application form from PEEF website (https://www.peef.org.pk/peef-scholarships) and submit the duly filled scholarship application form to PIEAS financial aid office. Interested candidates are advised to carefully read the process and details of the program.
Processing of Applications: The application processing is carried out by PEEF under the eligibility conditions provided on PEEF website.

Fellowships (BS programs)
Different R&D and public sector organizations offer fellowships to PIEAS students. For this purpose, they conduct test and interviews of third semester students studying at PIEAS. Fellowship benefits include full fee waiver, a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- per month and employment (subject to their terms and conditions) at the end of degree. Table given below, shows details of selected students for fellowship program.
USAID Funded Merit and Needs based Scholarship Program (MNBSP)
USAID scholarship program is designed for academically qualified Pakistani students, who aspire to continue higher studies, but due to lack of financial resources are unable to continue. The scholarships cover tuition fee, books, Boarding & Lodging, transportation, and Other Academic Costs.
How to Apply: The scholarships are advertised each year in national newspaper and HEC website. Students are required to apply through following HEC Online Application System: http://scholarship.hec.gov.pk . The printout of application form along with supporting documents should be submitted to PIEAS financial aid office. Processing of Applications: Initial scrutiny at PIEAS level is carried out by Institutional Scholarship Award Committee (ISAC), which then recommends potential candidates to the HEC Scholarship Management Committee (SMC). The SMC includes top Executives of HEC, representatives from the participating institutions, and eminent scholars. The SMC undertakes a thorough review before approving eligible cases. After finalization of awardees' list, the participating institutions will forward the funds to the selected students.
Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) for International Students
Rizvee-Kidwai Scholarship for Computer Science
- Rizvee-Kidwai Scholarship for Computer Science is available on need cum merit basis to study in 4-years BS Computer and Information Sciences Program at PIEAS for BS Session 2023-27 and onwards.
- The scholarship will cover the tuition fee and related miscellaneous expenses (Registration / Examination Fee, Library / Student Club Fee, PERN / Digital Library Fee, etc.) for 4 Years (8 regular semesters).
- Living expenses (hostel accommodation charges, mess bills etc.) are not covered in the scholarship.
- The students can apply along with supporting documents. The application form submission link will be shared soon.
- Short listed applicants shall appear for an interview in PIEAS Financial Aid Committee. The recommendations of the committee for the grant of scholarship to the selected applicant will be formally approved by Rector PIEAS prior to its implementation.
- Continuation of scholarship will be subject to maintaining CGPA of 2.67 or more in each semester.
